Frank Lloyd Wright House on Lake Mahopac
In 1951, A.K. Chahroudi had a summer cottage built by Frank Lloyd Wright on Petre Island in Lake Mahopac 50 miles north of New York City. He also had Wright draw up plans for a much larger residence on the same island. The residence was never built. The island was bought by Joe Masarro and his wife. They are in the process of building - beginning in 2004 - the Wright house that was never built, adhering almost completely to Wright's original plans.
