Somers NY Real Estate
The town of Somers boomed in the 1980s and 1990s after IBM set up shop and made Somers real estate an instantly hot commodity. Somers homes are a good mix of old and new construction with plenty of colonials, ranchers and cape cod style houses on generous lots. Though the available housing mainly consists of single family homes, you'll also find great condos and development property on the Somers real estate market.
Though Somers homes for sale start in the low $300Ks, the majority of houses on the market sell for around $600K, ranging all the way up to a million plus.

Somers is a predominantly white collar town with a large number of corporate workers who commute to NYC and White Plains each day. There are train stations at both Golden's Bridge and Katonah on the Harlem line. From either point, the ride into Grand Central Station takes about an hour at peak times.
Not everyone joins the morning exodus however. Both PepsiCo and IBM have headquarters in Somers and are both major employers in this burgeoning community.
